Chemport Europe is heading towards a circular economy – the waste flows of one business are the valuable raw materials for another. Material and energy flows are exchanged where possible.

The green growth of companies is central to the ecosystem. Companies can collaborate with all partners in the ecosystem. Whether it is knowledge, network, finance or permitting, the ecosystem facilitates in the transition to renewable chemistry. Together, we create a coherent innovative ecosystem.

Network organisations

In the Chemport region, there are several network organisations that operate in close contact with Chemport:

Samenwerkende Bedrijven Eemsdelta (SBE)

The SBE is an organisation for companies based in the Eemsdelta region. The SBE facilitates the cooperation between its members, and works together with its stakeholders such as governments, knowledge institutes and environmental organizations.

They focus on further improving:

  • Safety
  • Living environment
  • Sustainability

Samenwerkende bedrijven Drenthe (SBD)

The SBD is an organisation for companies in the process industry in the province of Drenthe. For their members, they focus on the main overarching themes for the process industry:

  • Circular materials
  • Energy
  • Personnel
  • Automation and digitalisation
  • Innovation

De Noordelijke Productiviteits Alliantie (NPAL)

The Northern Productivity Alliance (NPAL) is a hub for knowledge exchange and inspiration for the northern industry. NPAL focuses on strengthening the competitiveness of industry in the Northern Netherlands. They support manufacturing companies and technical service providers who want to continuously improve their productivity. They do this, for example, via workshops in which companies learn from each other, and via inspiration sessions by external experts.

Bio-Cooperative

The Bio-economy Business Cooperative is the independent organization and partnership between the bio-economy SMEs in the Northern Netherlands. The Bio Cooperative focuses on sharing knowledge, realization of cost reduction and the increase of revenue for its members. The Bio Cooperative supports its members on the following topics:

  • Innovation & Finance
  • Cooperation & Lobby
  • Human Capital
  • Marketing & Acquisition

The Bio Cooperative enables members to do what they do best; regional embedding regarding bio-economy topics and providing economic impact and employment.

SUPACC

The Sustainable Products and Chemicals Cluster in Emmen, consists of a proactive SME business network that is investing in the green and circular industry. Their goal is to represent the common interests of SMEs at local, regional, national and international level.

Further developing the green chemical sector is one of their main drivers and strengthening mutual relationships. SUSPACC does this by co-developing a yearly updated R&D agenda together with the local government and knowledge institutes; which in turn results in a more cohesive & innovative industrial ecosystem and maintaining future talents.

The cluster in Emmen is known for its expertise in Circular & biobased polymers, Mechanical & chemical recycling, Biocomposites production and down-to-earth mentality.
